Sportscar365 is reporting that Corvette is going to field a car in the WEC Austin race and the PWC might be considering adding endurance races to its calendar next season. Seems like shots are being fired in imsa's direction. I would love for Corvette to step up to the big leagues.

I said when the shenanigan happened at the 24 Hours of Daytona and then again at the 12 Hours of Sebring that IMSA needed to get its shit together because, unlike some other forms of motorsports in North America, it's not the only game in town.
What would probably work is for the SCCA to have a separate sports car racing endurance triple crown, or something similar that runs on the same basic rules and classes as the PWC, but with a separate points race and purse. The 25 Hours of Thunderhill could be incorporated without modification to either the race rules or the PWC rules.
